Anabolic steroids were sold by an inmate inside and outside of the Cape Vincent prison

Ismael Melendez got 9 years in prison for weapons’ charge in 2005. He has served as an inmate there. Recently this person was accused in selling anabolic steroids. He promoted distribution of prohibited substances inside and even outside the prison in New York. He faces charges of prison contraband, illegal possession of prohibited medicines and illegal possession of syringes.
It was found out that Richard Finley, Melendez’ substance abuse counselor, had taken part in the criminal deals of Melendez. This person served over 10 years for the Cape Vincent prison. The substance abuse canselor helped him to distribute anabolic steroids outside the prison. He was arrested in November 2011. It happened when Finley had caught during selling anabolic steroids to a person in a certain parking lot.
Melendez sent Finley to deliver certainprohibited drugs to a customer. The purchase was made in a certain shopping centre.
Of course, a question may appear: Why did Finley start to promote selling banned medications?
Finley said why he had agreed to help Melendez . The inmate promised to give him HGH and 1500 dollars. It would have been given as exchange for promotion of smuggling alcohol, anabolic steroids and creatine inside the prison. But the substance abuse counselor was caught by the police and charged with possession of prohibited medications and a hypodermic instrument.
Finley made also another great mistake. He brought his little child of 7 years old, when he was involved in the illegal activity. That’s why the substance abuse counselor was also charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
This resulted in a suspension of Finley from his job without any pay. Thus, this person lost the well-paying job. As it is known, Finley got about 52, 000 dollars per one year.
The inmate Melendez was transferred to another jail. He continues to serve his sentence.
