The chairman compared people that use anabolic steroids with “Magilla Gorilla” that may become aggressive and kill others. The chairman says that intake of these prohibited medicines is an increasing problem around the country. Even police officials and firefighters use these forbidden substances that cause psychological disorders and violent behavior.
McCall said that some deputies and firefighters were similar to Magilla Gorilla, the character of the 1960 cartoon “The Magilla Gorilla”. He stated that such officers might affect own health and life or even kill other people.
It was the first time when consumers of anabolic steroids were compared with the cartoon character Magilla Gorilla. Certain individuals confirm that the comparison is quite ironical.
