Mark Mansa, a businessman from Bethel (Connecticut), was accused in distributing anabolic steroids to High School students from the Greater Danbury.
But it was not proven yet whether it is so, as it has been said. Numerous people don’t believe that wrestlers of High Schools have got and taken forbidden remedies. High School wrestling is a preferred sport in Greater Danbury area. Affection to this sport blinds a lot of people wholly. They don’t even suggest that it can be true that wrestlers of High Schools have utilized steroids, especially anabolic steroids.
Why are anabolic steroids underlined specifically? Anabolics are used to induce increasing muscle mass in short time quite essentially. Thus, numerous persons suggest that while High School students of other sports must have taken steroids, wrestlers don’t belong to their class. Their affirmation has been supported by Ricky Shook, a wrestling coach. His team is well-known because of obtaining 10 State Open titles. The coach assures that there is no any connection with steroids.
In fact, wrestlers cannot use steroids or other related drugs to bulk up because there are strict weight rules that are established and regulated by the CIAC.
The wrestler Matt Saraceno was asked about possibility of applying steroids by those that are involved in this sport. This wrestler noticed that there was no any possibility of taking steroids. He noted that steroids couldn’t help to keep the mass of the body down. He claimed that it was impossible.
Thus, this wrestler broke statements of several individuals about possibility of utilizing steroids by wrestlers. Since steroids are utilized to promote enhancing muscle mass, it would be as an adverse response for a wrestler that tries to store his body mass in order to meet criteria of certain weight category. Moreover, the rules linked with weight loss are quite strict in wrestling. Even unessential changes in body weight may cause numerous troubles. Sudden weight enhancing and increase of muscles will cause several troubles like sudden loss of body mass.
The CIAC makes it clear that wrestlers should avoid unhealthy loss of weight. Just established amount of body mass may be lost during a season. The CIAC controls changing in weight of wrestlers. So, the risks linked with administration of prohibited drugs are very high for those who are implicated in wrestling.
The trainer Shook notices that he doesn’t desire to coach those who administer drugs, alcohol and tobacco. He notes that he says these words each year during interviews for the New-Times. So, the wrestling coach assures that he doesn’t coach any consumer of banned drugs. But if he observes such person in his team, he will proclaim about this case.
The coach Shook says that wrestling is healthy in comparison with its position in earlier time. They have a specific program. They subject wrestlers to urine analyses and hydration. This is the sport that performs more tests than any other sport that exists in Connecticut.
However the coach has admitted that a wrestler can hide his intake of steroids from him, but it is unlikely.
Thus, wrestling prevents administration of forbidden preparations. There is hope that wrestling will continue to follow this way.
